Integrative Bodywork
I specialize in holistic bodywork that augments an herbal and alternative healthcare plan. The massage & bodywork offered is applied to clinical cases only as part of a serious holistic regime including dietary, lifestyle and herbal formulas. It is not to be confused with regular Western massage therapy that tends to be applied for general wellness, relaxation or a “spa” like experience and often has no clear therapeutic or efficiently effective agenda. Therefore, bodywork sessions at Green Mountain Healing Arts tend to be reserved for herbal therapy clients only and/or those with a high degree of compliancy and motivation to heal.
Specific clinical conditions treated with holistic bodywork include;
- Chronic low back pain
- Arthritis and/or joint pain
- IBS, colitis or chronic constipation
- PMS
- Neurological imbalances
- General stress and fatigue
- Breast tissue/lymphatic care
- Weight loss or Detoxification
- Eczema and Psoriasis

Therapeutic Adjuncts
Therapeutic herbal and alternative health care adjuncts offer the tremendous benefits of having 2,000-5,000 years of trial and error behind them. And when applied through the medium of massage and bodywork can bring about often amazing levels of healing.
Some therapeutic adjuncts offered at Green Mountain Healing Arts include;
- Acupressure- the gentle but firm stretching and rhythmic application of thumb, hand and forearm pressure to acupressure points along the twelve major meridians to break up Chi and Blood stagnation, often the cause of chronic pain and stiffness. Offered as therapy for chronic pain, old injuries and immune support.
- Moxabustion- more specific than acupressure, but similar in purpose. It is the application of the burning of mugwort (moxa) on areas, usually acupressure points, of the body that exhibit stagnation and obstruction of proper Chi and Blood flow that result in chronic pain, dysfunction and stiffness.
- Dry brushing- whole body massage with either garshan gloves (raw silk) or a natural fiber brush; opens pores, stimulates Blood and Chi flow, proper elimination of wastes and lymphatic drainage.
- Medicinal herbal oils and liniments-application of medicinal herb infused oils or alcohol directly to sites of pain, outbreak, burns and stagnation, or as a nutritive therapy for the body and joints.
- Hot herbal compresses, pastes and plasters- more direct application of herbal medicines to sites of muscle or skeletal pain, organ/blood pain or stagnation, skin eruptions/injuries and scar tissue.
Bodywork FEES: $30 per 30 minutes ~ $60 per 60 minutes
Fees will vary due to the nature of a specific treatment and amount of adjunctive materials needed. Sliding fee scale and alternate currency such as barter are available.
